CNet is now a member of the ANT+ Alliance

We are intensifying our investments into personal health monitoring solutions and are becoming a member of the ANT+ Alliance. Membership will comprise access and knowledge of millions of deployed ANT™ nodes. The ANT™ wireless networking protocol is suited for most low data rate sensor network topologies ranging from P2P or star, to practical mesh networks. The technology is well applied within areas such as sports, wellness and home health applications and CNet will use it within relevant projects (e.g. REACTION or inCASA). It will allow us to incorporate devices and sensors heart rate monitors, sport watches, weight scales, blood and glucose monitors, biking and fitness equipments into our applications.

But ANT™ is also a practical solution for home and industrial automation applications where it has been designed to simplify network development and to optimize network operational efficiency. As such, the ANT™ membership will cover both eHealth solutions that CNet is currently working on as well as contribute on the further development and refinement of Hydra and EnergyInBalance.

2010-09-02 - inCASA meeting in Torino
Between the 2nd and 3rd of September 2010 the inCASA project group held a requirements meeting in Torino, Italy. A result of it was the planning of the first inCASA pilot with the partner Agenzia Territoriale per la casa della Provincia di Torino. ATC Torino is the public body with responsibility for social and public housing in the area of Torino and its surroundings. The Pilot will focus on user behaviour, providing a useful profile to search and determine behaviour that could lead to health problems.
2010-09-20 - Social Event with the REACTION project
After a whole day of presentations and interesting discussions it was time to socialize and experience Stockholm from the water. The social event took place in the archipelago by sail boat, were an exquisite barbeque was served. One exiting moment on the boat was when the captain and his crew ask us to help them set sail. 
2010-09-22 - REACTION Project Bord meeting in Stockholm
The REACTION project held its second Project Board meeting on 20-22 September 2010 in the exciting "Cedergrenska Tornet" in Stocksund north of Stockholm. The meeting dealt with reporting and planning issues of the different WPs and with generic project issues such as the iterative method, requirements engineering and the dissemination strategy and plans.
2010-09-30 - Success for energyInBalance.com at ICT Event in Brussels
We introduced our new service energyInBalance.com at the ICT event in Brussels this week. The reactions were very positive and we got a lot of great feedback from many people from all around the world.

2010-09-23 - Internet of Things & Services-workshop
Hydra organises 1st “Internet of Things & Services” research workshop
The 1st international Internet of Things & Services research workshop at TrustAmI, organised by the Hydra consortium, is one out of three workshops related to security issues in ambient intelligence environments featured by the Smart Event’08 (September 16-19, 2008, Sophia Antipolis).

The workshop is designed for the exchange of insight between leading researchers and experts in the whole area of Semantic Interoperability, Ambient Intelligence, Sensor Networking, and generally the Internet of People, Things and Services.
