Personal Health Monitor System

The aim of the REACTION project is to develop an integrated ICT platform that supports improved long term management of diabetes based on wearable, continuous blood glucose monitoring sensors and automated closed-loop delivery of insulin.

CNet’s responsibilities range from creating semantic self-configuration tools for devices, semantic resolution, knowledge discovery modules and basic security models. These will be integrated into the REACTION platform through the use of the Hydra middleware. CNet will in more detail focus on the project quality control and quality management, architectural analysis and description. Cnet will also give input on device and general health domain ontologies, on the design and implementation of the core data management functionality in REACTION. CNet will design a rule-based orchestration language and engine to implement components for orchestration and rule execution. CNet will also analyse and define a P2P architecture and a distributed device discovery architecture, work on the hardware/sensors and the middleware integration but also develop software SoA services that will be implemented by CNet in order to enable network interoperability and service execution. Finally, Cnet will build the REACTION Software Development Kit (SDK).
